Overview

Stratum 55 is an ultra-slim submersible in-ground uplight designed for architectural water features, reflecting pools, fountains, and flush-grade hardscape installations where a low-profile aperture is essential. At 55 mm overall depth, the luminaire sits entirely below finish grade, leaving only the tempered glass lens visible at surface level.

Construction

The housing is formed from stainless steel and sealed with a tempered glass lens to achieve IP68 ingress protection. A stainless steel pre-cast sleeve is included in the 9 W variant, allowing the luminaire to be set in concrete or stone during construction and replaced without breaking the surrounding substrate. The fixed 30° beam angle provides a defined upward wash suited to sculpture, columns, and water jets.

Light Source and Driver

The OSRAM LED source delivers a CRI above Ra85 across all five available CCTs, spanning warm amber at 1800 K through to daylight at 6000 K. An isolated, wide-range driver (85 to 265 V, PF 0.6) accepts both 120 V and 230 V supplies without modification, simplifying international deployment.
