Resort gardens and arrival

Warm, low-glare lighting for a resort's arrival court, gardens and pool terrace.

Representative example. This page describes a typical scheme built with our luminaires; client and site details are generalised.

The brief

The resort wanted guests to feel the gardens at night without the feeling of a lit car park, warm, quiet and easy to navigate.

The approach

Bollards and lawn lights mark paths and steps. A handful of feature trees are uplit with in-ground luminaires; most of the planting stays in shadow. The arrival court uses a soft wash on the boundary walls rather than pole lighting.

Points worth noting

  • A single warm colour temperature across the site keeps the scene coherent.
  • Landscape luminaires switch on with ambient light sensing and dim after a set hour.
